متن انگلیسی
A learner may feel well prepared after reading a clear explanation several times, because the explanation becomes easier to follow with each encounter. That growing ease is information about the present reading experience, but it does not directly establish how much the learner could explain without the page. When the text supplies both the question and its organized answer, recognizing a familiar account can be mistaken for being able to construct that account independently.
Consider a student who closes a chapter and writes a short explanation of its central claim before reopening it to check the result. The attempt may feel less fluent than rereading, yet the missing steps become visible precisely because the printed explanation is temporarily unavailable. Comparing the attempt with the chapter can then turn an uncomfortable gap into a specific question for further study, rather than leaving it concealed by familiarity.
This procedure is not a claim that every difficult activity produces useful learning or that a student should continue repeating an error without correction. Its diagnostic value depends on an opportunity to inspect the attempt and address the difference between what was produced and what the material supports. A sensible study plan therefore uses feelings of ease cautiously and includes occasions on which understanding must be demonstrated without the explanation already in view. A student might also vary the example used in an explanation, checking whether an idea can be applied when familiar wording no longer supplies an immediate cue. The aim is not to make studying feel difficult for its own sake, but to obtain more informative evidence about what can be understood and used.
